وحذّرت المنظمات من تفشي الأوبئة، وانهيار البنية التحتية، وتراجع الخدمات العامة إلى الحد الأدنى، معتبرةً أن استمرار الصمت الدولي تجاه ما وصفته بـ “الكارثة المتعددة الأوجه” بات غير مبرر، داعيةً إلى تدخل أممي فوري وفعّال لحماية المدنيين وتفادي الانفجار الإنساني المحتمل.

نتوجه إليكم، نحن منظمات المجتمع المدني العاملة في العاصمة عدن، بهذا النداء الإنساني العاجل، في ظل استمرار التدهور الحاد في الأوضاع الإنسانية والمعيشية في المدينة، وصولاً إلى مستويات غير مسبوقة تهدد حياة السكان بشكل مباشر وتنذر بكارثة واسعة النطاق ما لم يُبادر المجتمع الدولي إلى تحمّل مسؤولياته واتخاذ خطوات عاجلة وفاعلة.

تشهد العاصمة عدن أزمة شاملة متعددة الأوجه تشمل الأبعاد الاقتصادية، والخدمية، والصحية، والأمنية، والبيئية. حيث يعاني السكان من تضخم مفرط، وانهيار شبه كلي في الخدمات الأساسية كالكهرباء والمياه والصحة، إلى جانب ارتفاع حاد في نسب الفقر والبطالة، وتراجع القدرة الشرائية للمواطنين بصورة كبيرة.

– دعم مؤسسات الخدمات العامة في المدينة لتتمكن من استعادة الحد الأدنى من عملها في مجالات المياه والصرف الصحي والكهرباء، بما يحد من انتشار الأمراض المعدية.

– تشكيل لجنة تقصي حقائق أممية مستقلة تقوم بزيارة ميدانية عاجلة إلى عدن، وترفع تقريراً مفصلاً وشفافاً إلى مجلس الأمن، يشخص الواقع، ويوصي بخطة تدخل مستدامة.
